| The Ack Ack Living History
Group is based in the South West of England and aims to highlight the
roles of both men and women in the home defence of Great Britain during
World War II.
The group creates displays based on the
work of the Royal Artillery (R.A.), Auxiliary Territorial Service (A.T.S.),
Royal Corps of Signals (R.C.S.), Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
(R.E.M.E.), Royal Army Medical Corps (R.A.M.C.) and Queen Alexandra's
Imperial Military Nursing Service (Q.A.I.M.N.S.) depending on the requirements
of each particular event. They use a wide range of original equipment
and vehicles from their own private collections and are recognised as
one of the leading groups covering this area of history in the U.K.
